As an aquatic ecologist, I want to understand how interactions between organisms impact shallow lakes and ponds.  Nearly 10 years ago, an exotic, invasive apple snail, Pomacea maculata (formerly P. insularum) hijacked my research agenda and I’ve built up a diverse undergraduate research program focused on studying these snails and similar species in both native and exotic habitats.  Please click below to learn more about the different components of my research program:
